(Aka "BISAC" )

Not sure what BISAC is? We got you!

BISAC stands for Book Industry Standards and Communications and is a globally accepted system for categorizing books.

The BISAC Subject Headings List is a standard used to categorize books based on content. The Subject Heading applied to a book can determine where the book will be shelved in your store or the categories under which it can be searched for in a database.

For example: Art, Music, Philosophy, etc

You may use the following link to the Book Industry Study Group site for a standardized list; BISAC Subjects, Book Industry Study Group website
