Creating Book Sales

Ready to learn how to create a book sale on BIBLIO? We'll walk you through it step by step, and trust us, it's as easy as flipping through the pages of your favorite novel.

Step 1: Login and Find "Promotions"

First things first, log into your BiblioDirect menu. Look up at the top of the page and click on "Promotions" from the dropdown list. You're on your way!

Step 2: Create Your Book Sale

Now, on the next page, you're in the driver's seat.

Here's what you can do:

  • Give your sale a cool name. (We always love to see a bookish pun!)

  • Choose the start and end date of your sale.

  • Decide how much of a discount you want to offer (it's up to you!).

  • Select which books in your inventory will be part of the sale.

  • You've got options here. You can pick books by catalog, by price range, or even enter inventory numbers manually.

  • Want to add some extra excitement? You can offer Free Domestic Shipping along with your discount.

Step 3: Review and Confirm

Once you've set all your sale criteria, click "Next >> Confirm." It's like double-checking that your favorite bookmark is in place before you start reading.

Step 4: Exclude Specific Books (If Needed)

Sometimes, you might want to exclude certain books from your sale. For example, if you're offering free domestic shipping, you might want to skip really large or heavy books. Just enter the inventory numbers of the books you want to exclude, and click "Save Sale."

Step 5: Add Photos for Extra Oomph

To make your sale even more appealing, add photos to the items in your sale. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

How Customers Will See Your Sale

Your awesome sale will be showcased in several ways:

  • When customers search for books, they'll see your sale price along with the original price, so they know the sweet discount they're getting.

  • We'll send emails to tons of BIBLIO customers who love special offers, giving your sale even more exposure.

  • Check out the "Specials" tab at the top of BIBLIO's pages when your sale is live, and select "Books on Sale"

  • Customers can easily find your sale and search for specific titles included.

  • If you're offering Free Domestic Shipping, your books will pop up on our "Free Shipping"

page, making them even more enticing.

Keep an Eye on Your Sales

You can always review your ongoing sales. Just head back to where you created the sale, and you'll find a section called "Currently running sales." It shows your sale name, discount percentage, and running dates.

Troubleshooting Your Sale

If things don't go exactly as planned, don't worry. Here are some tips:

- Your listings must be activated to create a sale. If your account is on vacation or suspended, wait 24 hours after it's reactivated.

- Listings can't be part of more than one sale at the same time.

- Sales with overlapping dates can't include same listings. Make sure one sale ends before the next begins.

- Listings added after creating a sale won't be included automatically. If you want them in, let us know, and we can help you set up a new sale.
