Why are checks no longer available for US and Canadian booksellers?

Modified on Fri, 19 Apr at 3:46 PM

Issuing payments by direct deposit is faster, more secure, and more environmentally responsible than sending checks.

BIBLIO is able to issue payments via direct deposit twice a month, as opposed to the once-monthly check schedule that Biblio was able to offer. Direct Deposits are transmitted from Biblio to your bank account electronically on the day that the payment is issued, so no more waiting for the check to arrive in the mail for you to take to the bank to deposit to your account.

BIBLIO's direct deposit payments are sent via a very secure electronic inter-bank transfer process, as opposed to checks which can be lost or intercepted in the mail.

Electronic payments do not require the use of paper for printing, or fuel for transportation.
